Western Hemisphere Africa Diaspora Network -WHADN is a network of African Diaspora individuals and organizations living in Canada, the US, the Carribean, and South and Central America, who are willing to contribute to the development of Africa.
South African Development Community -The Southern African Development Community (SADC) has been in existence since 1980, when is was formed as a loose alliance of nine majority-ruled States in Southern Africa known as the Southern African Development Coordination Conference (SADCC), with the main aim of coordinating development projects in order to lessen economic dependence on the then apartheid South Africa.
Economic Community of West African States -The Economic Community Of West African States (ECOWAS) is a regional group of fifteen countries, founded in 1975. Its mission is to promote economic integration in "all fields of economic activity, particularly industry, transport, telecommunications, energy, agriculture, natural resources, commerce, monetary and financial questions, social and cultural matters ....."
Intergovernmental Authority on Development -The Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) in Eastern Africa was created in 1996 to supersede the Intergovernmental Authority on Drought and Development (IGADD) which was founded in 1986. The recurring and severe droughts and other natural disasters between 1974 and 1984 caused widespread famine, ecological degradation and economic hardship in the Eastern Africa region.
Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa -The Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa - promoting regional economic integration through trade and investment.

New Partnership for Africa's Development -The New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD) is a VISION and STRATEGIC FRAMEWORK FOR AFRICA's RENEWAL

In line with the development cooperation policy of the Dutch Government and as a response to the international requests for support by political parties and groups abroad, the Dutch political parties PvdA, VVD, CDA, D66, Green Party, RPF, SGP and GPV have decided to set up a new foundation: the Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy (IMD). This foundation was established on 18 April 2000. The main objective behind IMD is to support the process of democratisation in young democracies by strengthening political parties as the pillars of parliamentary democracy in order to help create a well-functioning, sustainable, pluralistic system of party politics.
